The Long Paddock Program

The Long Paddock offers young people a grounded, hands-on learning experience in a quiet farm environment. Designed to support in-school wellbeing programs, students join us one day per week to step out of their usual routine and into a space that encourages connection, regulation, and growth.

During their time with us, students help care for animals, grow vegetables, learn practical farm skills, and take part in meaningful team activities. These experiences encourage responsibility, confidence, and cooperation, while also offering a sense of purpose through contributing to our farm and giving back to the local community.

The Long Paddock provides a gentle circuit breaker in a student’s week. It is a chance to reset, breathe, and re-engage in a supportive, structured environment. Our standard program runs for one school term, with the option to extend when ongoing participation would benefit the child.
